Warm welcome to the LSE Shanghai WeChat public account. We are working closely with the school and alumnus to share news and events happening in Shanghai, China and Asia. Looking forward to bringing back the good old LSE spirit.



On May 20th evening, we are going to hold a joint talk&drink event with Cambridge alumni, during which we will invite guest speakers from both universitites to share their professional views on China private equity investment. Below is a quick introduction to our guest speakers for the event:


Chenning Zhao, holding MSc Accounting and Financedegree from LSE, is one of the four founding partners of Fountain Vest Partners,a leading private equity fund in China. Before 2006, Mr. Zhao worked as Vice President at JP Morgan Partners Asia (CCMP) and investment banker at Goldman Sachs focusing on China investments. Over the past few years, Mr. Zhao and hiscompany has been staying at the forefront of some of China’s most innovativeand sophisticated transactions.On May 20th evening, we will have the great privilege to invite Mr. Zhao to give us a talk on "Private Equity Businessin China" to share his unique point of view under current China's economy.  


Maning Song, Cambridge MBA alumnus, is the CEO of Guangda Chunhe Equity Investment Company. Mr. Song has worked for China Development Bank and Commonwealth Bank of Australia and has 15 years' working experience in infrastructure and public utility industry. Over the past few years, Mr. Song has participated in several innovative projects of infrastructure investment and financing, and on Friday he will give us an inspiring speech about the industry he works in.
