Rules for Use of WeChat Cards & Offers

I. Introduction to the Function

WeChat Cards & Offers feature is a full set of electronic coupon solutions provided by Tencent for merchants, which allow the merchants to implement the closed loop of production, delivery, collection and redemption of electronic coupon when allowed by law, and leverage the assorted features such as reconciliation and coupon management.

WeChat Cards & Offers feature can be divided into API and Official Accounts Platform Coupon features, both of which can be used to implement the production, delivery, collection and redemption of coupons, where the merchant who wants to develop can use API feature, while the merchant who doesn't can use Official Accounts Platform Coupon feature.

II. Availability scope

WeChat Cards & Offers feature (only coupon, not including membership card and friends' coupon) is open to the merchandise/service merchant in these categories, and merchants should use the WeChat Cards & Offers feature based on the category they select, produce and deliver the electronic coupons in the scope of the selected category and must not use the feature outside of the category scope approved by Tencent.

2.2 Open coupon-producing pattern

Based on different common demand scenarios, WeChat Cards & Offers provide various coupon-producing patterns with the different rules for merchant to select.

2.2.1 Self-produce coupons

2.2.3 Creating by a third party instead

Qualified Official Account merchants, who have completed WeChat Verification, can apply for the vouchers feature by themselves, and then authorize developers to operate the feature more flexibly for merchants through WeChat Open Platform.

2.3 Types of open vouchers

General vouchers: vouchers, discount vouchers, coin certificates, group purchase vouchers and general offers;

Special vouchers: movie tickets, plane tickets, bus tickets as well as entrance tickets for scenic spots and conferences;

Ⅲ. Guidelines on how to launch the vouchers feature

3.1 Application channels

There are two application channels for merchants — WeChat Official Accounts Platform and WeChat Open Platform. Permissions that can be granted and voucher types that can be created after applied on these two platforms are as follows:

3.2 Application requirements

3.2.2 Application requirements on the vouchers feature of Open Platform:

Mobile apps have been added on Open Platform, and have passed the review;

The subject of mobile apps have been verified by developers;

Contents operated by mobile apps are legal and owned by merchants who file the application;

Ⅳ. Review rules for voucher creation

4.1 Review channels for voucher creation

merchants are required to submit vouchers to WeChat for reviewing after vouchers are created, and WeChat operates two channels (fast channel and normal channel) to improve distribution efficiency for merchants;

4.2 Applicable scope of fast channel

It is open for all merchants, except for those who have violated rules for voucher creation.

V. Violation handling measures

Violation handling measures fall into two major categories: violation handling measures for voucher creation and for complaints.

5.1 Violation handling measures for voucher creation

5.2 Violation handling measures for voucher creation

5.2.1 Lodge a complaint about violations

Users can lodge a complaint about the vouchers used through the client for the following issues:

  • Offline store rejects the redemption
  • Online process is unable to use the vouchers
  • Goods and services provided fail to match the commitments
  • The store has a wrong address or is bankrupt.
  • It is shown that the voucher is used, although it is not
  • Customer service hotline is not answered or does not exist
  • Other reasons

  • Descriptions for merchandise/services are clear;
  • Category selection is correct;
  • merchant's name and LOGO is owned by merchant itself;
  • Company subjects in licensure documents and certified accounts are consistent;
  • licensure documents are clear and the stamps by national regulatory authorities are clearly visible;

6.4.2 voucher creation review criteria

  • Goods or services redeemed by a voucher must be provided by this Official Account, and creation of other partners' vouchers on behalf of them is not allowed;
  • Clearly describe information such as offers the coupon can redeem and the way it is redeemed;
  • vouchers's redemption should not be based on the condition of sharing with friends, share on Moments, following and so on;

6.5 Violation handling measures

6.5.1 Violation handling measures for voucher creation

When a merchant is entitled to the fast channel for voucher creation reviews, it is subject to penalties if any violation is found during real time spot check:

There are three levels of standards for violation handling measures, according to a voucher's number of complaints:

Ⅶ. Rules for using the mode of creating by a third party instead

The feature, creating vouchers by a third party instead, provided by WeChat, allows a third party who has operation capability or technical capacity to provide vouchers feature to access and use complete closed-loop marketing solutions for partners in need of vouchers (hereinafter referred to as the Sub), based on WeChat Official Accounts Platform. Third party Official Account that has launched the vouchers feature can create vouchers through Official Accounts Platform or API, once authorized by partners and submitted licensures and materials.

Under this mode, goods or services should be provided by subs, subs' name and logo are shown on vouchers, the whole process is only allowed to be completed by the third party Official Account instead and subs themselves are not capable of calling voucher API directly or operate manually in the background of those voucher merchants. If a third party Official Account needs to provide its goods or services directly, please switch to homebrew mode.

Ⅷ. Rules for using third-party compulsory licensing mode

为了降低商户接入卡券难度,微信开放平台针对“公众号第三方平台”帐号类型推出“卡券第三方强授权”功能。具备开发能力的开发者,可协助未认证公众号商户快速接入并使用卡券功能。为商户提供开发能力的开发者(公众号第三方平台)简称“第三方”,商户(公众号)简称“子商户”。

该功能面向微信开放平台所有“公众号第三方平台”帐号开放,公众号第三方平台需提供相关资质,审核通过后,方可获得第三方强授权能力。

“子商户”为未开通卡券功能的微信公众号,由第三方代为提交相关资质,待审核通过后进行帐号授权,授权确认后可由第三方代为使用卡券功能。

强授权模式下,卡券商品或服务需由子商户提供,卡券券面显示为子商户的商户名和logo,且整套流程为第三方通过子商户的帐号去调用接口,子商户本身不具备直接调用卡券接口或在卡券商户后台手工操作的能力。

2.2.2 Clear describe the services or merchandise

It is required to understand what merchandise or service the merchant is handling during application review, which is usually comprehensively judged from the name, notes and contents operated recently of an Official Account. If the judgment fails, the review will fail.To get approved quickly, please give a detailed description on the following contents in "merchandise or service description":

1) what merchandise or service you are handling (or business pattern introduction);

2) what kind of offers can be provided for those who claim the voucher to be issued, if you are approved;

Example 1: We provide beauty services. Unlike traditional beauty business, we have many contracting cosmetologists, there is not any offline salon, and consumers call for door-to-door services in advance. The vouchers can be used to experience beauty services or deduct beauty expenses;

Example 2: We provide breads, desserts and afternoon teas. The voucher can be used to get offers while purchasing;

Example 3: We do photo shooting and provide photo finishing for customers. The voucher can be used to get a gift when you visit our stores;

2.2.3 Submit licensure documents as required

merchants are required to submit corresponding business licensure documents in accordance with the categories selected;

Note: company name in the files uploaded should be consistent with the one verified by the Official Account. If is not owned by the company, make sure to upload the cooperation agreement or relationship declaration between these two parties, which can be shoot on the same page with the licensure document for uploading. The words should be clearly readable;

Step 3: Waiting for approval

3.1 The result will be returned in one workday after submitting for review, and merchants can go to Notification Center to check for it.

merchants entitled to the fast channel can distribute immediately, without waiting.

If it is not passed, merchants can check for the reasons of rejection in Notification Center, re-enter the application page, update information in 【Re-review】 and re-submit.

3.2 (Offline merchants) Create a store

merchants that has a physical store shall create a store, the voucher creation that followed has to associate with a store, improve the rate of users that has claimed a voucher;

verified Subscription Accounts have to wait for the approval for step 3 before creating a store; verified Service Accounts shall create a store as early as possible, as they do not have to wait for the result.

Step 4: (API merchants) Apply for enabling advanced permissions

通过第三步审核后,才能申请开通高级权限。申请路径为:微信公众平台-卡券-卡券概况-查看资料和权限-接口商户高级权限。目前需另行申请的高级权限有一个。

Stored value feature: merchants with a membership card can use the "balance display" feature through API directly to display the balance on the home page of WeChat membership card, without applying for it. merchants eligible for prepaid cards can apply for this feature, set up this entry through API after the application is successful, and help members recharge their membership cards by WeChat Pay.

Step 5: Waiting for voucher creation information review

5.1 merchants entitled to the fast channel, after submit for reviewing and refresh the page, can start distributing vouchers immediately without the need to wait for one workday.

5.2 The fast channel is open to a part of categories, merchants not entitled to it or are removed from it due to violations will get review result in one workday, after the voucher created is submitted for review. They can enter Notification Center to check the result, and can re-enter the application page if the review is not passed.

Rules of using vouchers shared by friends

First, a brief introduction of the function

"voucher shared by friends" (hereinafter referred to as "Friend's voucher"), is a new feature launched based on WeChat vouchers, to achieve the rapid social communication and transformation effect "one person receives a voucher to be shared among more people".

If this voucher is received and shared with friends, this voucher will automatically be displayed in the list of vouchers of the recipient and his/her friend. Both the recipient and his/her friend can use the voucher. merchants can select the presentation configuration: When the "Friend's voucher" is used, according to the presentation volume configured by the merchant, the user will immediately receive a "Friend's voucher" to continue to share this voucher with friends.

Currently, only two types of vouchers are available, namely cash vouchers created by merchants (created via Official Account admin platform and APIs) and exchange vouchers created by merchants (only created via APIs).

II. Availability scope

"Friend's voucher" will be gradually available according to the type of voucher merchants. Later, more categories of merchants will have access to "Friend's voucher", please pay attention to announcements in the WeChat Official Accounts Platform.

For voucher merchants who have access to the function of "Production by third-party developers" (that is, the parent merchants), the entry of "Friend's voucher" is opened by default.

If the parent merchant's own category or sub-merchant's category conforms to the scope of access, it may produce "Friend's voucher" for itself or on behalf of the sub-merchant. If the parent merchant's category and sub-merchant's category do not fall within the scope of access, the ordinary vouchers can only be made.

III. Application Guidelines

This feature does not require application. WeChat team will open the entry for voucher merchants who fall within the scope of access in Article II above. merchants who have not activated the voucher function shall apply for activation of voucher function by adding feature plug-in in the Official Account admin platform.

IV. Charging Standard

The inventory of "Friend's voucher" needs to be purchased through the voucher points, which can be obtained through the paid recharge and platform activities.

4.1 Inventory price

During the operation of "Friend's voucher":

1) the vouchers without threshold of use, 0.2 voucher points/piece;

2) in the production of vouchers, if the scope of application / purchase conditions is checked, 0.4 voucher points/piece; if only the condition of not using together with other special offers is checked, 0.2 voucher points/piece

4.2 Paid recharge

merchants can pay to buy the voucher points in the voucher merchant background module at a rate of RMB 1 = 1 voucher point. Each Official Account merchant each purchases a minimum amount of RMB 100.

4.3 Platform activities

The platform will hold activities from time to time and give merchants free gift points. The activities will be announced by the WeChat Official Accounts Platform and described in the detailed information of current activities.

4.4 Inventory purchase mechanism

When the user receives a "Friend's voucher", the voucher inventory is consumed. For example, the user receives a "Friend's voucher" through offline code scan or verification gift. The voucher is exposed to all friends of the user, no matter how many friends are exposed to, only an inventory unit is consumed, that inventory purchase is calculated based on the number of vouchers received, which is irrelevant to the number of exposures and the number of verifications. Inventory that has been consumed is not returnable.

4.5 Inventory return mechanism

For unused inventories, the platform supports return of the coupon points to the coupon point account at the redemption price, and only the following three circumstances are supported: the expired, deleted, or shelved inventory coupons that have not been received by the users.

Inventory redeemed with free coupon points are consumed firstly. For example, when the total inventory of coupons is 1000, including 400 coupons redeemed with free coupon points and 600 with charged coupon points. When the inventory expires, 500 coupons have been consumed, with 400 redeemed with free coupon points, and 100 redeemed with charged coupon points. Let's assume the unit price at the time of redemption is 0.2 coupon point. As the coupons redeemed with free coupon points have already been consumed, the charged coupon points to be returned at the original price would be 0.2*500=100.

The platform only supports return of coupon points for the unused inventories, and currently does not support the refund for coupon points.

V. Mode of Release

Only offline release is supported, including receiving by scanning QR code, WeChat shake nearby and Wi-Fi via WeChat, but the release via WeChat Official Account Admin Platform is not supported.

VI. Audit Standard

After creating a Friend's voucher, merchants submit the same to the WeChat team for review. The WeChat team will return the review results within 1 working day. A Friend's voucher must meet the following criteria:

  • 6.1 The vouchers created shall be cash vouchers or exchange vouchers

    Discount vouchers, tickets and other types of vouchers are not allowed. The actual content of exchange must be consistent with the selected type of voucher, that is, cash vouchers cannot be used to present gifts, and exchange vouchers may not provide the cash of RMB **;

  • 6.2vouchers without threshold are universal

    That is, they can be used to buy any merchandises/services in the store irrespective of category, newness, type, brand, etc., without limitation on certain merchandises/services available in the store;

    Special note: For the following types of merchants, "universal" means -

    1. 1) physical department store - universal, no designated store, no designated category and brand;
    2. 2) integrated category store: universal, no designated category and brand;
  • 6.3No minimum purchase requirement;

    Users are not required to spend a certain amount of money before using vouchers or exchanging gifts, and no limitation on purchase amount;

  • 6.4No reservation required;
  • 6.5 No limitation on available time, that is, the vouchers can be used during business hours. No limitation on available period of time in a day. No limitation on availability in working days, weekends or holidays;
  • 6.6 Merchandises or services for the exchange of vouchers are provided by physical merchants. Users can take the vouchers to exchange and use at physical stores.
  • 6.7 Applicable stores selected in creating vouchers must be physical stores that are operated for individual users. Stores that are operated for non-individual users cannot be created, such as offices, hospitals, schools, banks, etc.;
  • 6.8 Stores selected in creating vouchers shall be operated by the relevant Official Account;
  • 6.9 Direct production of vouchers on behalf of other cooperative merchants is prohibited;
  • 6.10 Users are not required to follow Official Accounts, share to chat, share on moments before using vouchers;
  • 6.11 Customer service phone must be true and effective;
  • 6.12 Test vouchers cannot pass the review for the time being;
  • 6.13 vouchers can be used together with other special offers;

vouchers that do not meet the above criteria will be rejected and cannot be normally released.

(The above criteria apply only to friend's vouchers without threshold. For a friend's voucher with threshold, the criteria are adjusted correspondingly based on the type of vouchers with threshold chosen by merchants.

III. Application Guidelines

3.1 Obtain the basic permission

merchants have two application channels for card making, payment, template message automatic notification, member management, business data management and other basic permissions.

  • New merchants: New merchants within the "II. Availability Scope" will have the permission to create membership cards when activating Cards & Offers without filing separate applications. Those who are not in the availability scope cannot use the membership card for the moment.
  • Old merchants: Old merchants who have already activated Cards & Offers, if falling in the availability scope this time, can still use the membership card function without any difference; if not falling in the scope, can still operate the original membership cards but cannot create new membership cards for the moment.

3.2 Obtain the special permission

The special permission of membership cards refers to the recharging function. This function allows recharging through WeChat Pay, and merchants who apply for this function must have finished the Single-Usage Prepaid Card File Recording. This function is currently not available to the external users, but merchants who have demands for it may follow the platform notices and handle the Single-Usage Prepaid Card File Recording with the competent authorities in advance.

3.2.1 The merchants need to handle the Single-Usage Prepaid Card File Recording with the commercial administrative authorities at their localities. For detailed handling procedures, please consult the competent local government authority or inquiry at the official website of the MOFCOM.http://yfk.mofcom.gov.cn/card/Index.html

IV. Review Rules

In order to improve the deployment efficiency, we have adopted a quick review channel for the membership cards. Once a membership card is created, it may take effect within 10 minutes. The quick review channel is available to all merchants, except for those who have violation records.

V. Handling of Violations

WeChat reserves the right to review the membership cards, and impose the corresponding warnings and penalties on those who have conducted the following acts:

1 Function introduction

The Cards & Offers function is a total solution for the management, promotion and operation analysis provided by the Official Accounts Platform for Official Accounts that require card and voucher services. merchants can use the Cards & Offers function to implement management and operations of vouchers.

1.1 Operations entry

merchants can use the Custom Menus, broadcast messages and the Official Account to automatically provide responses for the promotion and delivery of vouchers. merchants can also download QR Codes to distribute vouchers through other channels to help customers obtain them.

1) Custom-defined Menu

merchants can display the ticket information entry in the custom-defined menu.

2) voucher message

merchants can send voucher information through direct broadcast, embed the generated vouchers into the article, or use automatic response in Official Accounts to deliver voucher information to users.

Add voucher message types on the Official Accounts Platform to support merchants to broadcast Cards & Offers to users.

② Embed the generated Cards & Offers in articles

The Official Accounts Platform supports vouchers embedded by merchants in the articles for distribution to the users via broadcasts.

③ Official Account automatic response for voucher message

The Official Accounts Platform supports merchants in responding with Cards & Offers information in the "automatic response - keyword automatic response".

3) Scan QR code

merchants can generate the voucher in the form of QR code for distribution. The user can open WeChat and use the scan function to add valid vouchers into Cards & Offers

1.2 Operations methods

The Official Accounts Platform provides merchants with follow, gift to friends and other methods of operations to help merchants improve the performance of card operations.

1) Recommended accounts to follow

The user can view and follow the Official Account for the voucher through the Cards & Offers information page.

2) Give gifts to friends

The user can gift received vouchers to friends. They can also receive vouchers from friends.

3) Applicable stores

merchants with physical stores may set up store information based on actual conditions and help users quickly locate the store. merchants with no designated stores can specify reasons based on objective conditions.

1.3 Support services

The Official Accounts Platform provides merchants with data analysis, multiple write-off methods and other support services to help merchants complete voucher operations more effectively.

1) Data analysis

The Official Accounts Platform provides merchants with complete voucher data report. merchants can view reports online or download them to read offline.

2) Multiple write-off methods

The service currently supports mobile phone and webpage write-offs.

3) API voucher data

2 Cards & Offers management

3 Free vouchers

商户可以在“卡券-免费券”页面中完成免费券的生成、编辑、查看详情、删除和投放、查看报表操作。

There are five kinds of status

Failure to pass: Effective period not exceeded, and audit failed;

To be delivered: Has not exceeded effective period and audit has passed;

Has been delivered: has not exceeded the effective period. Review has been passed at least once;

Expired: already exceeded effective period.

3.1 Generation

进入“卡券-免费券-免费券管理”页面,点击“添加卡券"for coupon generation. Meanwhile, merchants can click "Import from Existing Coupons" to modify the generated coupon information. After approval, it can be used as a new coupon. The original coupon will be kept at the same time.

Note:

1. Currently we support the generation of discount coupons, vouchers, exchange vouchers, group-buying vouchers, coupons, 5 types in total:

1) Discount coupons: Providing consumption discount for the users.

2) Vouchers: Providing cash deduction for the users.

3) Exchange vouchers: Providing consumption gifts for the users.

4) Group-buying vouchers: Providing group purchase discount for the users.

5) Coupons: General coupon, and more details can be customized by the merchant.

2. Merchants without a store can choose not to associate with a store. But for the purpose of helping the consumers to locate the stores quickly, it's suggested that merchants with a store should set appropriate store information for each coupon.

Generation steps:

Merchants themselves choose the generated coupon type, go to the coupon generation page and fill out the appropriate information by following the guidelines

Note:

When you enter the coupon generation page, you have to fill out every type of coupons

1. General information, such as name, validity period;

2. Specific information, such as amount in the vouchers, gifts, group-buying content;

In the picture below, you can see a preview image of a coupon on the left, and the coupon information entry on the right. Please fill in the information of each part completely. After you follow the guidelines to complete the submission, submit for approval. All coupons will be analyzed by WeChat anti-spam system and manually reviewed.

1) "Coupon Generation" > "Basic Information" page:

Note:

1. For a unified client form, WeChat provides 10 background colors. Merchants can choose from them according to their needs.

2. A merchant's name and logo should be provided when applying for enabling the basic function of coupons. If any change is needed, please update it in the page where the basic function of coupons is enabled.

3. Coupon title: Required. The maximum number of characters is 9 (Chinese) or 18 (English).

4. Subtitle: Required. The maximum number of characters is 18 (Chinese) or 36 (English).

6. Coupons' validity period: The Official Accounts Platform provides two ways to set the validity period for the coupon, which can be set as valid within a fixed period of time, or valid in N days once received with effective days.

For other fields, please refer to relevant notes on the generated page and complete them.

2. "Coupon Generation - Verification Settings" page:

Note:

1. Enter the inventory value when adding a coupon. Regardless of the channel or the number of times it has been placed, the same coupon shall consume the inventory value.

2. When "User may share the coupon URL" is checked, the user may send the claim link of this coupon to friends or share on Moments, etc. This item is checked by default.

3. When "User may transfer the claimed coupon to other friends" is checked, the user may transfer the coupons added to his/her Cards & Offers to friends directly. This item is checked by default.

4. Note: Required. A maximum of 16 Chinese characters or 32 alphabets. It is recommended to guide the users to present the coupons in the store for the staff to complete the verification.

3. "Coupon Generation - Details" page:

Note: 1. The required information for Details varies with different types of coupons, please fill in them as appropriate.

a. "User Instructions" is required for each type of coupon. You are encouraged to fill in the following values: Whether appointment is required, available time slot, user limit for single use, etc.

b. "Offer Details" is required for group-buying vouchers, discount coupons, and exchange vouchers. You are encouraged to fill in product or service name, quantities, amount and other information.

It is recommended for merchants with physical stores to fill in this item seriously. It will help users select stores for offline shopping with faster location. Association is not required if there is no physical store.

3.2 投放

公众平台为商户提供直接群发卡券、嵌入图文消息、下载二维码4种投放方式。

Go to "Create a new rich-media message", edit the rich-media message and click "Save". You may then send the rich-media message to users using the broadcast feature

3. QR code download

When the QR code is downloaded, merchants may place the coupons through the various offline methods.

The QR code will be downloaded to the merchants' computer in .jpg format. The naming rule of the image is "Coupon name_Coupon type_QR code download date""。

4) Official Account automatic reply

In the Official platform function - automatic reply - keyword reply, you can add tickets.

Tip: Card vouchers and share restrictions, consistent with the settings when the card was set up. The user receives the inventory that will be consumed by the card.

3.3 Editing

Inserting the car. By inserting the card, you can edit operations. The following fields are currently supported:

1) Validity period

Tip: The number of applicable stores can only be increase, and can not be reduced.

3.4 Data reports

商户可以在“卡券-免费券-免费券数据”页面查看卡券运营数据概况、卡券详表和用户渠道分析。支持下载所有数据报表。

4 card redemption

商户可以在“卡券-卡券核销” 页面选择核销方式,目前支持两种核销方式:手机核销和公众平台核销。

1) Mobile phone redemption

① Click "add sales staff"

② Enter the salesperson WeChat ID and click the "Search" icon

③ Designate sales staff at the store, click "Finish", and give it write-off authority

If not specified, you can redemption for all the stores issued by the Official Account.

④ Sales staff entering "卡券商户助手" in the Official Account on their phones can perform redemption operations.

Prompt:

1. Click "sweep redemption" and scan the card on the QR code / bar code and it can be written off;

2. Click "card number to redemption". After entering the card number, it can be written off;

3. WeChat will automatically verify whether the card has exceeded the effective time, applicable to the store. The merchant needs to confirm the "card use conditions" and other information. Once the card is unable to be changed, please exercise caution.

2) Page write-off

The steps are as follows:

① Open the "card verification - page redemption" page;

② Enter the card number and click the "Search" icon;

③ Verify voucher information. For example, if the vouchers are in accordance with the conditions of use, you can click "confirm the voucher" to complete the sale of vouchers;

1. The merchant must enter the card number accurately. The card number must be provided by the user to the merchant (display vouchers);

2. WeChat will automatically verify whether the card has exceeded the effective period applicable to the store. merchants need to confirm the "card use conditions" and other information.

3. Once the card is unable to be changed, please exercise caution.

5 Auto-redemption

5.1 Introduction to Features

Auto-write-off opens new write-off capabilities for all WeChat Card merchants. merchants only need to create a card in the "write-off" option "auto-redemption" and they can set up the card to support auto redemption.

Users use the card to support auto-verification and only need to open the vouchers - click on "use immediately" - [select the store] - [confirm use] to complete the card verification. Meanwhile the store's write-off and the super salespeople can receive a cancellation notice, and can check the card's redemption record.

5.2 Introduction to the fields

Auto-write-off and scan code / code to write each other to complement each other. 卡券商户助手 through the scan code / code to complete the write-off at the same time, but also to ensure the authenticity of vouchers. This is useful for merchants who have a high volume of account reconciliations to do. Auto-verification issued by the user. The entire operation is performed by the user. 6 WeChat Pay

6.1 Introduction of Features

WeChat Pay is a WeChat voucher feature. When consumers use WeChat Pay to check out in the store and complete payment with WeChat Pay, the system will automatically apply the discount.

The benefits of WeChat Pay (hereinafter referred to as "Pay"):

6.2.2 How to set up Cards & Offers

The function currently supports vouchers, discount vouchers, and membership cards.

1) Vouchers or discount vouchers

Choose friends to share vouchers with in the "Vouchers" or ordinary vouchers in the "Discount vouchers" and "Vouchers"

Complete the first step filling in Cards & Offers information. In the second step settings, select "WeChat Pay" in the [redemption Method].

In the [Applicable Stores], select the store with "payment collector" and click on "Applicable to designated stores" - "Add applicable stores" to display the stores with payment collectors in a pop-up panel. (Stores without payment collectors cannot use Pay)

Note: When "WeChat Pay" is successfully set as the [redemption Method], choose a store in [Applicable Stores] with a payment collector to complete WeChat Pay set up.

2) Membership card

Steps for setting up Pay are the same as steps for setting up vouchers and discount vouchers. In addition, merchants can also set up Loyalty Point rewards and the use of Loyalty Points as cash.

Check the "Loyalty Point Discount" in the [Membership Card Details] settings to set corresponding rules for Loyalty Point.

6.2.3 Payment collection records and statement verification

1) Add a payment collector

Enter [Cards & Offers redemption], click "Add payment collector", and enter the WeChat ID.

Go on to the next step. Select the store the payment collector is responsible for and click to complete settings. (Check the "No designated stores" on the lower left corner to designate the payment collector as the payment collector for all stores)

Note: Make sure the payment collector follows the Official Account of the 卡券商户助手

2) Payment notification

When a user uses WeChat Pay and completes payment at the store, the payment collector of the store will receive the payment notice issued by the "卡券商户助手".

Click on "More" - "Write-Off Records" to view all payment records from the payment collector of the day

In addition to the records available on mobile phones, you can also view the "Write-Off Record" on the Official Accounts Platform and enter the [Cards & Offers redemption] - [Write-Off Record]

3) Statement verification

Filter records based on the "Product Name" as the "voucher Quick Pay" records in the downloaded form to inspect the details and summary of WeChat Pay statements.

7.1 WeChat membership card function positioning

7.3 Function description

Cards & Offers merchants are provided with a control panel for the creation, management, use, and inspection of data. merchants are not required to perform development to operate the membership card.

7.3.1 Membership card management

Membership card review

To encourage merchants to perform long-term intensified member operations, each Cards & Offers merchant can only create one membership card.

After the review of the membership card, all contents can be modified and the modifications shall immediately be effective without requiring reviews. merchants should note that if the merchant is penalized for violation of regulations, it shall not be able to enjoy the benefits of waiving the review within the effective period of the penalty. The membership card modification shall require manual review and the estimated review time shall be within 2 business days.

Membership card creation

A membership card is created the same way a free voucher is created by adopting the "WYSIWYG" approach.

A membership card offers discounts and Loyalty Point discounts. merchant can set specific discount rules.

Important reminder: Loyalty Point discounts and "Pay" can be used in combination to form a very powerful marketing asset. We recommend merchants open up WeChat Pay and apply for opening "WeChat Pay".

The membership card provides a custom portal and strong marketing capabilities for merchants. The custom portal can be configured with articles, vouchers, eShop shelves, and capabilities for opening webpage links.

To better understand users, merchants can set up the "user must be activated before use" function. Once it is set up, the user is required to enter the mobile phone number to activate the membership card. merchants can also designate other options for the user to selectively fill in. merchants cannot change the mandatory items for activation.

7.3.2 Member management

merchants can view and manage member information in "Member Management".

merchants can group users with "tags".

merchants can search for member information with the member's real name, mobile phone number, membership card number, or with the "most recent usage time".

Member status: Activated membership cards that are not deleted are considered valid. If the user has not activated or has deleted their membership card, the membership is invalid.

merchants can click on a member's portrait or nickname to view detailed member information.

7.3.3 Membership card message

merchants can issue broadcast information to grouped members by using the "Broadcast" function. With this function, merchants can implement flexible and personalized operations and services. Please note that the broadcast to members will be calculated into the information issuance quota on the Official Accounts Platform. Please allocate your broadcasts reasonably.

In addition to broadcast messages, merchants can also use the "Convert Loyalty Points to vouchers" function: After members use their membership cards, the notification for changes in Loyalty Points will be issued along with a voucher. This allows membership cards to help merchants increase communication with members.

7.3.4 Membership card data

You can view the operation data of the membership card by using the "Data and Reconciliation" function, or by viewing the statement at the merchant Portal, or downloading the data to the computer.

Through the "Data and Reconciliation" function, the self-run merchants can view all operating data of WeChat Cards & Offers. Service providers with permissions to make coupons can view data of the sub-merchants, and can use the filter function to view data of different sub-merchants.

By default, the system displays data of the self-run merchants, and the system for the coupon making service suppliers displays data of "All Sub-merchants". Please note the difference.

The "Data and Reconciliation" function consists of three modules including "Business Profile", "Coupon Data", and "Write-off Records".

In "Cards & Offers Effect" of the "Business Profile" module, you can view the performance of WeChat Cards & Offers in all operating processes, including browsing, receiving, activation, usage, amount receivable, and amount received based on types of the coupons. merchants can also check data of the above metrics in "Store Performance" by stores.

It is worth noting that, if you choose to view the "Coupons" data, the metrics that you will see are the aggregated data for all corresponding metrics of the "Coupons". In the "Store Performance" module, you will also see aggregated data for all corresponding metrics of the coupons.

7.3.5 Usage of membership card

The use of the membership card is the same as that that of the coupons, and it can be used through the merchant Portal or 卡券商户助手. It is worth noting that: you can directly enter a member's phone number to search and use the membership card, which allows users to use their membership cards when they don't have their cell phones around.

If a user uses WeChat Pay to make payment, you need to select the write-off method as "WeChat Pay", and associate stores with verifiers. The salesclerk needs to follow the "merchant Assistant for Cards & Offers" to receive write-off notices.

When a user makes payment at your store, he/she needs to select your store before receiving offers on the basis of discounts or points set by you. After making the payment, the user will receive a real-time notice of successful payment sent by WeChat Pay, and it will also receive the automatic messages sent by your Official Account or service messenger when points change. You can either view the payment data in the "Data and Reconciliation" module of Cards & Offers, or view the reconciliation records at the WeChat Pay merchant Portal.

7.3.6 Deployment of QR code

You can deploy QR codes in your offline stores. Users can scan the QR code, and then receive and activate their membership cards. If you have activated WeChat Pay for the membership cards, users who have received the membership cards can directly use WeChat Pay after scanning the QR code. These functions can be implemented through the same QR code to save your material resources and demonstration space. You can download the required QR codes through "Coupon QR Code Material".

8 Coupon for friends

8.1 Function Introduction

"Coupon for Sharing among Friends" (hereinafter referred to as "Coupon for Friends"), is a new function launched by WeChat Coupons. It achieves the effect of rapid spread and sales conversion through "one coupon shared by multiple persons".

After a user receives a coupon and shares it with his/her friends, the coupon will automatically display on the user's and his/her friends' coupons list. Both the user and his/her friends can use this coupon. You may configure the gift settings. When a "Coupon for Friends" is used, the user will immediately be awarded another "Coupon for Friends" to be shared with his/her friends.

Advantages of "Coupon for Friends"

1. High exposure: Once a "Coupon for Friends" is received, it will automatically display on the WeChat Coupons List of the recipient and his/her friends, which greatly increases the exposure.

2. High sales conversion rate: A traditional coupon only exposes to one user, but a "Coupon for Friends" can expose to both the recipient and his/her friends. With the same budget and cost, you can get a greater amount of exposure, higher sales conversion rate, and an effective increase in income.

3. Friends' recommendation: The "Coupon for Friends" can only be shared with the friends of the recipient after obtaining his/her approval. With endorsement from the recipient, the "Coupon for Friends" will be more reliable. In addition, the sales conversion rate can be further increased due to the fact that the WeChat friends share the similar hobbies.

4. Fission: When a "Coupon for Friends" is written off by the user or his/her friends, you can immediately award another "Coupon for Friends" for the user to receive and share. In this way, the benefits offered by you will be constantly exposed among the users.

[Types of "Coupon for Friends"]

"Coupon for Friends" supports the use of coupons with thresholds and those without.

Wherein, coupons without thresholds shall meet the following requirements:

Coupons with thresholds are mainly supported in the following scenarios:

1. You can set the minimum charge, such as money off or percentage off upon reaching certain amount.

2. You may specify the applicable items or non-applicable items to meet various offline commercial needs.

3. You can set a rule that the coupons cannot be shared with other benefits, e.g. the coupon cannot be used together with the group coupon.

8.2 Operational guidelines

Procedures for using the Coupon for Friends are basically the same as that for ordinary coupons, which include three steps, including Coupon Making - Deployment - Write-off.

8.2.1 Functions to activate

"Coupon for Friends" is only available to merchants of certain categories (refer to II. Availability Scope of the Usage Rules of Coupon for Friends), all merchants who meet the requirements are able to see the entry to "Coupon for Friends".

After clicking the entry to "Coupon for Friends", log on, andWeixin Official Accounts Platform,进入【卡券】-【卡券概况】,点击“马上开通”按钮。

Once the Coupon Point account is activated, the merchants can directly create, deploy, and view the coupons on the Coupons Profile page.

New merchants that have not activated Cards & Offers,登录至公众平台-【添加功能插件】-【卡券】点申请开通,先获取卡券功能。

8.2.2 Coupon Point account

1. Usage of coupon points:

Inventory of "Coupon for Friends" is different from that of the ordinary coupons, and has independent inventory prices (during the trial period, unit price of no threshold coupons is 0.2 coupon points; unit price of coupons with the application scope/consumption conditions checked is 0.4 coupon points; and unit price of coupons with only the "Cannot be used together with other benefits" option checked is 0.2 coupon point).Inventory of Coupon for Friends can be increased through redemption. Each time the inventory is increased, the coupon points consumed can be calculated based on the unit price and the quantity increased.

2. Acquisition of coupon points

There are free coupon points and charged coupon points, and they have the same usage.

1)Free coupon points

Free coupon points are awarded during the platform activities. The platform will hold activities from time to time and award the merchants free coupon points. The activities will be announced at the WeChat Official Accounts Platform, elaborating rules of the current activity.

2)Charged coupon points

Charged coupon points need to be recharged by yourself. You can purchase coupon points through WeChat Pay (bank transfer and other public transfer methods will be supported later on) at the merchant Portal for Cards & Offers, at a price of RMB 1 for 1 coupon point. The minimum purchase amount for each Official Account merchant is RMB 100 per purchase. The max amount of each transaction in a day is subject to the restrictions of the banks (RMB 50,000 in general).The Official Accounts Platform only supports return of coupon points for unused inventories, and does not support refunds.

3. Inventory returning mechanism

For unused inventories, the platform supports return of the coupon points to the coupon point account at the redemption price, and only the following three circumstances are supported: the expired, deleted, or shelved inventory coupons that have not been received by the users.

Inventory redeemed with free coupon points are consumed firstly. For example, when the total inventory of coupons is 1000, including 400 coupons redeemed with free coupon points and 600 with charged coupon points. When the inventory expires, 500 coupons have been consumed, with 400 redeemed with free coupon points, and 100 redeemed with charged coupon points. Let's assume the unit price at the time of redemption is 0.2 coupon point. As the coupons redeemed with free coupon points have already been consumed, the charged coupon points to be returned at the original price would be 0.2*500=100.

The platform only supports return of coupon points for the unused inventories, and currently does not support the refund for coupon points.

4. Records of the coupon point account

券点的每一笔充值、平台奖励赠送、平台扣减、退还券点、支出(即兑换库存)等都可在【公众平台】-【卡券】-【我的券点账户】-【流水记录】查看,并提供下载。同时也会通过站内信公告消息推送告知,请商户留意。

8.2.3 Create and set up "Coupon for Friends"

We currently support three templates for creation of "Coupon for Friends": no-threshold cash coupons; cash coupons with money/percentage off or for specified categories of products; and product vouchers. We currently do not support customized code types of the merchants.

1) 进入【卡券】-【优惠券】,点击创建新的优惠券

2) Enter the creation panel, select the template type, including "no threshold cash coupons", "cash coupons with money/percentage off or for specified categories of products", and "product vouchers".

3) Fill in the basic information of the coupons. Note: For "Coupon for Friends", the text and graphic details field is required, and the maximum validity period can be set at 90 days.

4) Fill in the usage settings and the settings for coupon rebate after write-off. Note: For "Coupon for Friends", you can set that after a user uses/writes off a coupon, he/she will be awarded another coupon. The platform supports awarding the user the same coupon or a different coupon, which is subject to flexible adjustment based on your activity requirements. You may also set that no coupon will be awarded after write-off due to considerations on cost.

5) Before submitting the application for review, you can preview the settings for "Coupon for Friends".

6) After you submit the application for review, the platform will finish the review within 1 working day. After the approval, the platform will send you a notice, and then the coupons will be ready for deployment.

8.2.4 Deployment of "Coupon for Friends"

“朋友的券”投放可以通过【卡券】-【优惠券】-【优惠券管理】的券列表页和【卡券】-【卡券投放】tab进行投放。

1,Deployment Entry 1: Deployment through the Coupons List page of Coupon Management

merchants who have experience in creating "Coupon for Friends" and are familiar with the cards and offers, may choose to deploy the Coupon for Friends the Coupons List page of Coupon Management.

1)After obtaining the approval for "Coupon for Friends", you can click the inventory editor pen to increase inventory.

2)Fill in the required quantity of inventory, the system will automatically calculate the coupon points to be consumed based on the corresponding inventory price. During the trial period, the unit price for no-threshold coupons is 0.2 coupon point/coupon, and the unit price for threshold coupons is 0.4 coupon point/coupon. By default, the system firstly consumes the free coupon points, and it will directly jump to the recharging page if the free coupon points are not enough.

3)Click the "Deployment" button to deploy the coupons through the QR Code channel.

At the initial stage, "Coupon for Friends" only supports offline deployment channels, including QR Code, WeChat Shake Nearby, and Wi-Fi via WeChat (wherein, the Wi-Fi via WeChat channel requires the merchants to develop the H5 page of coupon reception). It does not support deployment through the Official Account.

QR code is generally used in deployment of merchant coupons in the store, on posters and on flyers. After generating the QR code, the merchant can paste the QR code on the checkout counter, the posters, the flyers, and other promotional materials.

2.Deployment Entry II: The Coupons Deployment tab

New merchants who have recently activated the Cards & Offers can directly filter "Coupon for Friends".

1) Go to the [Coupons Deployment] Tab, and select the new deployment method;

2) Open the Coupons List page, and then select the "Coupon for Friends" that you need to deploy. For "Coupon for Friends" with 0 inventory, you need to increase the inventory before they can be deployed.

3) Click the "Deployment" button to deploy the coupons through the QR Code channel. Same as above, currently only offline channels are supported for deployment.

3. Inventory consumption mechanism

When a user receives the "Coupon for Friends", the inventory coupons are consumed. For example, when a user receives a "Coupon for Friends" through offline QR code scanning or is awarded a "Coupon for Friends" after writing off one, the coupon will be exposed to all friends of this user. No matter how many friends this coupon is exposed to, only one inventory coupon will be consumed. Namely the quantity consumed is determined by the quantity received, and independent from the quantity of exposures and the number of write-offs. The consumed inventory coupons cannot be returned.

8.2.5 Write-off of "Coupon for Friends"

The verification of "Friends' Coupons" is the same of that of normal coupons. You may refer to The verification methods of normal coupons. 8.2.6 Data of "Coupon for Friends"

8.2.7 Invoicing information

1.Apply for invoicing

第一次申请发票,可登录公众平台【卡券】-【卡券概况】-【我的券点】付费券点处“索要发票”填写发票相关信息。

2.Fill in the invoicing information

The basic information to be registered includes the invoice type;

若发票类型选择为增值税发票,则需要继续填写,企业信息:企业抬头(默认使用认证信息中公司名称)、营业执照(默认使用认证信息中营业执照)、营业执照登记地址、税务登记证扫描件、纳税人识别号、发票打印电话;银行信息:银行开户证明、开户银行、银行账号;发票寄送信息:收件人、收件人电话、收件地址和邮编。

You can view the successful or rejected invoices at [My Coupon Points Account] - [Invoicing] - [Invoicing Records].

7. Rejection of invoicing application

If your invoicing application is rejected, the reason will be provided under "?" of the Rejected category within the invoicing records. Orders covered by this invoicing application will be returned to the Uninvoiced Orders list, for which you can file a new invoicing application.

8.2.8 "Coupon for Friends" for API developers

Developers of merchants who have demands for API development needs to follow the below steps:

2. Create "Coupon for Friends" through the API, and a notice will be sent to the merchant upon approval.

3. By default, the inventory will be 0 after the coupon is created successfully. The merchant needs to log on to Official Accounts Platform to increase the inventory. For details, refer to 7.2.4 Deployment Instructions.

Procedures for using the "Coupon for Friends" are basically the same as that for ordinary coupons, which include three steps, including Coupon Making - Deployment - Write-off.

Different from ordinary coupons, the "Coupon for Friends" has a unit price for individual inventory coupons and the inventory can be increased through redemption with the coupon points.

3. How to redeem the inventory coupons with coupon points?

During the trial period, the unit price for no-threshold coupons is 0.2 coupon point/coupon, and the unit price for threshold coupons is 0.4 coupon point/coupon. Each time the inventory is increased, the coupon points consumed can be calculated based on the unit price and the quantity increased.

4. How to dispose the inventory coupons when "Coupons for Friends" are deleted or expired?

For unused inventories of "Coupons for Friends", the platform supports return of the coupon points to the coupon point account at the redemption price, and only the following three circumstances are supported: the expired, undeployed, deleted, or shelved inventory coupons that have not been used.

Inventory redeemed with free coupon points are consumed firstly. For example, when the total inventory of coupons is 1000, including 400 coupons redeemed with free coupon points and 600 with charged coupon points. When the inventory expires, 500 coupons have been consumed, with 400 redeemed with free coupon points, and 100 redeemed with charged coupon points. Let's assume the unit price at the time of redemption is 0.2 coupon point. As the coupons redeemed with free coupon points have already been consumed, the charged coupon points to be returned at the original price would be 0.2*500=100.

5. What if the inventory coupons run out, and there are no coupons available for awarding the users after their write-offs?

When "Coupons for Friends" are used up, you can increase the inventory before the expiration through the merchant Portal by following the normal inventory deployment procedures. You can redeem additional inventory coupons with the coupon points.

6 Do "Coupons for Friends" need to be reviewed? How long will it take to finish the review?

Yes, they do. It would usually take 1 working day.

7 If I don't want to pay for the coupon points, can I deploy the "Coupon for Friends"?

There are free coupon points and charged coupon points. Free coupon points are awarded during the platform activities. The platform will hold activities from time to time and award the merchants free coupon points. The activities will be announced at the WeChat Official Accounts Platform, elaborating rules of the current activity.

8.Can I get a refund after recharging?

The Official Accounts Platform only supports return of coupon points for unused inventories, and does not support refunds.

9.Can I modify my "Coupon for Friends" after completing the creation?

After the coupon is created, the Official Accounts Platform currently allows modification of the validity period, the stores, the telephone number, the customer service number, and the settings for coupon rebate after write-off without review. For contents and descriptions of the coupons, MP modification is currently not supported, and it can only be modified through the API and an approval is required.

10,What is the longest validity period for "Coupon for Friends"?

We currently support the longest validity period of 3 months, and the extended validity period is also within 3 months.
