Event held to promote proper use of camping tents in parks

With a camping tent, a picnic mat, some snacks and drinks, people can now indulge in rural life in the city.

A park camping experience day, called “Zero Waste Camping,” was held at Shenzhen Bay Park on Sunday. The event, organized by Shenzhen Municipal Urban Administration and Law Enforcement Bureau, was aimed at promoting green space, park environment protection and the proper use of camping tents.

6月5日，深圳市城市管理和综合执法局主办的深圳公园“零废露营”体验日活动开幕，旨在引导市民爱护绿地、合理使用帐篷，共同守护公园环境。

An interactive WeChat miniprogram, in which citizens can give a thumbs-up to the park camping areas they like was launched at the event.

In addition, a wide selection of snacks, drinks and camping products displayed on site caught the attention of many.

Activities are organized at the event.

In late 2021, Shenzhen began to designate pilot camping areas in parks. Today, camping areas can be found in 22 parks citywide, providing citizens with spaces to relax in nature.

深圳公园率先开展帐篷区试点以来，已在全市22家公园专门划定了帐篷区，为市民创造亲近自然的休憩空间。
