Cheese cream bubble tea beer at Jing-A CBD

Every now and then a new drink comes along that inspires both fascination and mild disgust. Depending on your worldview, such concoctions are either an abomination to the very notion of human progress or the exact opposite. After all, where would we be without a little experimentation? Jing-A certainly subscribes to the latter camp, pairing up with bubble tea purveyors Niu Cha to bring Beijing two new varieties of creamy beer shakes. Now available daily, midday to 6pm at their CBD taproom, these wanghong-luring mash-ups certainly look the part – a heady mix of beer, cream, and tapioca to be consumed through a straw. Currently, two types are available, priced at RMB 55 each, including a strawberry-topped Mandarin Wheat and a passionfruit-flavored Flying Fist. Free-flow jam night at Lenore's

Cocktail making class at The Hutong

The Hutong is preparing for their latest cocktail making class this Friday, Mar 5, 7-9.30pm. For RMB 380 or RMB 350 for members, you'll learn to make a passionfruit mojito, rosemary apple sour, a "Hutong-style" old fashioned, and a DIY cocktail of your choosing using fresh local ingredients and homemade syrups courtesy of The Hutong's in-house mixologist Jane Chen. Two daily drinks deals at Mosto

We slept on this one, but as they say, never late than never! Mosto kicked off the new year with two new ongoing and excellent drinks deals. Every Wednesday evening, diners will receive a free bottle of wine with every red meat dish ordered. Order the rib eye, beef tenderloin, and lamb chops? That's three bottles of wine for the table! Then on Thursdays, ladies can drink house or sparkling wine for two hours absolutely free with the order of any dish. Read more about the deals here. Then head to China Bar, where they're now offering free-flow on red, white, and sparkling wine, as well as beer and bar snacks like wagyu beef roujiamo, spring rolls, and paprika fries all for RMB 199.
