2019 Spring Festival Bar and Restaurant Opening Hours, Feb 4-10
If you don't have any specific plans for celebrating Chinese New Year then it can be a tricky time to be in the capital, what with so many popular venues closed for several days, if not a whole week.
To make sure you aren't left pouting in the cold in front of a closed door at your favorite bar or restaurant, below are details of opening and closing times throughout Spring Festival (Feb 4-10 unless indicated specifically; Sat-Sun, Feb 2-3 are designated make-up working days). As a general rule, hotel restaurants and malls are likely to be open during the holiday but we'd suggest ringing ahead anyway if you're unsure if the venue will be open, as locations may be forced to change their opening times again closer to the date to deal with staffing issues.
Note: We have classed restaurants that are closing for three days or less as "open," more than that and we have put them in the "closed" section. We will update this blog frequently in the run-up to Spring Festival. To get the most up-to-date list, tap on "Read more" at the bottom of this article.
