Due to certain circumstances, flights to Hong Kong have remained cheap, even while ticket prices for almost every other destination have skyrocketed for dates between Oct 1-10. A source told the Beijinger that some flights are currently less than 10 percent full.

That's good news for you procrastinators because it means round-trip tickets to Hong Kong are available now from less than RMB 1,400 from airlines like Cathay Pacific and China Southern.
