7th Day of Christmas: Pig Out at Turkish and Georgia's Feast

Since opening in 2015, Georgia’s Feast has been Beijing's preeminent – and only – restaurant for Georgian food. Their secret weapon? Chef Neli Tomaradze (pictured left above), who uses her years of traditional Georgian cooking know-how to create staples such as khachapuri (a doughy boat filled with cheese and a raw egg, to be stirred together into a beautiful, creamy mess) and khinkali (Georgian's take on dumplings).

To expand on their already robust offerings, Georgia's Feast has created a special Christmas menu, combining holiday staples with Georgian flavors and spices. They'll also have plenty of wine on offer too, another Georgian specialty. Known for being one of the oldest wine regions in the world, the climate has allowed for the cultivation of grapes and the production of wine for over 8,000 years. Here in Beijing, Georgia's Feast's selection of Georgian AOC (appellation of controlled origin) wine is second to none, making it one of the best places to dive into the prize wines of this relatively lesser-known area.
