Are you harboring both an insatiable desire to show off your dance moves and an uncanny mind for burger and superhero related trivia? Or perhaps you have pipes that could make a grown man weep burger-grease tears? Either way, it’s time to pull out the old spandex and get ready to hit the hottest stage in Beijing next weekend: that of the 10th annual Burger Festival at Wangjing Walk.

Here’s the deal: the Beijinger is seeking participants to compete for hundreds of RMB in prizes from JSS and more during two events on Friday and Saturday (Sep 19-20) of the 2020 Burger Fest. For both events, participants must be wearing a costume – but you were going to come all dressed up anyway, right?

First, we’re looking for folks with both physical and mental prowess to compete in the Dance Off and Quizzical Costume Contest. During this competition, participants will show off their moves to a song they haven’t prepared for – and the audience will decide whose moves were lame, and whose were hot enough to advance onto the next game. Those who make the cut will then have to test their knowledge of popular culture, comic book superheroes, and of course, burgers.

Conversely, if belting out a sick tune is more your style, then you’ll want to sign up for the Karaoke Hero Competition. For this one, all you have to do is let us know at least three songs that you’d like to sing on stage ahead of time, and then show up ready to stretch your vocal cords to the limit.
