Burger Fest is happening this weekend

If you haven't heard – you may be living under a stale bun – the Beijinger and delivery crusaders JSS are hosting the 10th annual burger fest this weekend at Wangjing Walk from Friday to Sunday, Sep 18-20. Earlybird tickets are on sale now and come with a free superhero mask to embrace the fight against crimes of blandness, but even if you just grab your tickets at the gate you can still sample the finest burgers that Beijing has to offer. Come hungry and ready to party.

Monday pizza day at Hulu Indigo Mall

Continuing their expansion across the capital, Hulu recently opened a new location at Indigo Mall. Unlike the other locations, in addition to the modern French casual dining menu we've come to know and love, the Indigo location also offers pizza, developed in partnership with La Pizza. Get over there on Monday to sample those pizzas for just RMB 38, including the Mor-Ma-Mia!, topped with mortadella, pesto, mozzarella, parmesan, and cherry tomatoes (usually RMB 118), and the Meat Paradise, topped with chicken, beef, pork sausage, beef sausage, bacon, buffalo and ordinary mozzarella, and tomato sauce (usually RMB 148). Find Hulu on the first floor of Indigo Mall.

In other good TRB Group-related news, TRB Hutong is finally reopened after a long closure as a result of the first COVID-19 outbreak back in February. The restaurant is open for lunch Tue-Fri, 11.30am-2.30pm and dinner Tue-Sun, 5.30-10pm. They're also open for brunch on the weekends from 11.30am-3pm.

50% off Romana pizza at Forno Sanyuanqiao

Speaking of pizza, in celebration of the restaurant's grand opening (which was celebrated with a Roman empire-themed party, as we reported last week), Forno Sanyuanqiao is offering 50% off their Romana pizza until Sep 18. The offer is available for both eat-in and takeaway customers.

Chandon afternoon tea at Grand Hyatt Beijing

Treat yourself after what has been, frankly, a long year, with Grand Hyatt's new Chandon afternoon tea set. Priced at RMB 298 per set, the afternoon tea includes a whole bottle of Chandon, a sparkling wine made in Argentina by Moët & Chandon in the same way they make their traditional Champagnes, alongside the usual selection of finger sandwiches, scones, and dainty little cakes. The afternoon tea is available from 1.30-5.30pm daily until Sep 30.

Boxing Cat's garden barbecue

Make the most of the last days of summer with Boxing Cat's garden barbecue nights. Fill up on a menu featuring artisan sausages, smoked Memphis barbecue chicken, pulled pork sliders, and grilled chimichurri vegetables, as well as sides like creamy potato ranch salad, four-cheese mac and cheese, sweet potato fries, and parmesan garlic bread. The barbecue is priced at RMB 78, plus RMB 150 for free-flow beer and soft drinks (not that the barbecue can't be purchased individually).
