Local Brands Push Through to the Sweet 16 in Burger Cup 2020

To fight through to the Round of 32 was task enough to draw tears of grease, but as the great spatula that is the people’s voice cuts that number in half, we’re left with but a baker’s dozen plus three of the finest burgers in Beijing in this year’s cup, presented by JSS Delivery.

As we bite into the results, we find that it was a round of favorites, with the higher seeds in each matchup prevailing in all Round of 32 battles. Though some international brands snuck their way into the previous round, voters showed a clear preference for local brands as all three outsiders were smashed like fresh beef: The Great Outdoors ousted newbie Shake Shack, 3 Little Pigs by Andy’s Craft Sausages pushed Fatburger aside, and Beersmith Gastropub iced The Cheesecake Factory.

What’s next? We’ve expanded this voting round to two full weeks, giving you plenty of opportunity to try all of the remaining competitors – what better way to spend your holiday than to chew your way through the list? The good news is, you can try a bunch of these burgers through the JSS Food Delivery App, then return to the ballot box as a well-informed (and well-fed) voter.

More than half of the remaining contestants participated in our Burger Fest, so many of you may be already quite familiar with their offerings... but many of you still have some eating to do before you can have bragging rights on sampling all 16.
