While big gatherings are still strongly discouraged and in some cases, entirely off the table, the beauty of Valentine’s Day is that it largely involves two people. (Unless you dig an “alternative lifestyle,” which hey, no judgment here.) So! To help you and your sweetheart have the most romantic day since Romeo and Juliet poisoned themselves and died in each other’s arms, here are a few deals around town to set your heart aflame.

Romance Time at Intercontinental Beijing Sanlitun

On Feb 13 (5.30-10pm) and Feb 14 (5.30-8pm and 8.30-11pm), enjoy a glamorous and sumptuous Valentine's dinner at either of Intercontinental Beijing Sanlitun's restaurants. For RMB 1,999 per couple, the Michelin-starred CHAR Bar & Grill has a divine 5-course set dinner which includes French oysters and caviar, a scallop and sea urchin green pea puree, liquid porcini mushroom with herbed potatoes, asparagus, and truffle oil, a 1kg porterhouse steak, and an exquisite dessert of rose, pistachio, raspberry, vanilla, lychee, and yogurt. Meanwhile, Ying Chinese will be offering a 7-course Cantonese meal for RMB 1,314 per couple which includes a dish of avocado, egg white, and crab meat, plus Santis single malt whisky duck, poached romaine lettuce in soy-chili sauce, slow-cooked wagyu beef short rib, and more. If, however, you’d like to fully immerse yourself in the throes of Valentine’s Day passion, then from Feb 12-14, the hotel is offering a one-night staycation package for RMB 5,888 which includes a one-night stay in a Sanlitun suite, dinner for two at CHAR, and Champagne breakfast in bed for two.

Valentine’s Breakfast in Bed by Peach

Prefer to stay in bed this Valentine's Day and let all the love come to you? Or simply want to start the day off right with a delicious breakfast, before the evening's festivities? Then Peach by Hulu's Valentine's Breakfast in Bed offer is just what you need! Mosto Valentine’s Day

If you’ve got so much love to give that one day just isn’t enough, then Mosto’s got you covered with their Lover’s Brunch (RMB 328) on Feb 13 and 14, followed by Valentine’s dinner on Feb 14. The former – cheekily named Will You Accept This Rosé? – is enough to turn that mouth of yours into a tunnel of love as you indulge in a sweet and savory love affair with chocolate-covered strawberries, smoked salmon beetroot blini, yogurt with red berries and granola, manchego cheese, smoked bacon, and so much more. And of course, Valentine’s free flow – including the titular rosé – for an additional RMB 188. For a more traditional vibe, check out Valentine’s Day dinner, a 5-course meal from Mosto’s Chef Daniel, set against a backdrop of soft candlelight and roses to set your heart aflutter. For RMB 688, guests can enjoy New Zealand oysters, warm duck tatami, and carrot orange foam to start, followed by oven-roasted black codfish or josper grilled beef tenderloin, and finish the whole thing off with milk chocolate and Nutella cigar or a passion fruit panna cotta. A Very Fizzy Valentine’s Day at Q Mex

Nothing says “I love you” quite like a hefty burrito, a heaping plate of nachos, and some sparkling wine. If pomp and circumstance aren’t you and your sweetheart’s thing, then pop on over to any Q Mex location from open to close and get a free glass of sparkling wine with any main, plus half-off all desserts. Couples set menus are obviously the name of the game on Valentine’s Day and Eudora Station is getting in on the fun with their 8-course meal at RMB 728 per couple. In addition to music, drinks, and plenty of fun, you and your partner can eat your way through a Jamon Iberico cheese platter, crab cakes, smoked Norwegian salmon, burrata cheese salad, mushroom chowder, and two stunners of a main course: the vanilla grilled Australian Angus chilled tenderloin steak with truffle mashed potatoes and truffle sauce, or grilled sea bass with fig sauce and grilled asparagus. Valentine’s Set Meal at Arrow Factory

Call it Cupid’s Arrow Factory, if you will. Or don’t, makes no difference to us. Either way, on Valentine’s Day the brewery will be offering up a set meal for RMB 158 per person which includes roast Australian beef, roasted potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, and broccoli, served alongside horseradish and gravy with homemade Yorkshire pudding and chocolate brownie with ice cream for dessert. If that weren't sweet enough, happy hour will be raging all day, with select beers BOGOF, and 20 percent off bottles of wine.
