EAT: Your bite-sized guide to the best eats to be had in Beijing this week.
Denizens of the CBD, you now have a new place to fulfil your carb-related needs. Renowned local Beijing brand South German Bakery has opened a new shop/restaurant in Shangdu Soho, their fourth in the city. Alongside their famous German-style breads and cakes, they also serve a menu of salads, sandwiches, and juices that are perfect for summer. Find them in shop 1127 on the first floor of the West Tower of Shangdu Soho.
You've still got time to enjoy dishes like nacho pizza bites and pasta and meatball tacos as part of their collab with The Pizza Show until July 14, before the week three collab with Susu kicks off. That menu includes Vietnamese-Mexican fusions like grilled lemongrass chicken leg tacos, peppery pork neck and papaya salad tacos, and tacos featuring Susu's signature La Vong fish.
