Hey you! Want to choose Beijing's Best Pizza beyond the Sweet 16? Well, you're going to have to do it in person at one of our Sweet 16 Taste-Offs, the first of which takes place this Saturday!

Yes, this year's Pizza Cup is doing things a little bit differently: Instead of an online vote to determine the winners, there will be a series of live, in-person Taste-Offs!

First, the masses will narrow the list to the Top 16 – a process which is already underway – via online balloting. If you haven't yet had your say there, go vote now:

From then on out, it's all once-a-week, in-person Taste-Offs, where only those present at our Saturday afternoon eating orgies will be able to vote!

Now, we know what some of you are thinking: why should I go to five pizza parties? Because each of these parties will be different! For starters, there will be four different pizzas every time, not to mention different Pizza Fest collector's items. Each party will also have its own theme as well as a set of games to maximize your fun.

Come to these events to have a blast and be able to claim it was your refined taste buds that decided which pizza is the best in Beijing!

Each table at the taste-offs gets their own pizza from each of the four contestants, along with beer from Brooklyn Brewery, a limited-edition Pizza Cup collectible, and of course the most important thing of all: the sacred right to choose the best.

Yes, you and only you (and those 100 or so individuals at this one-off event) will be able to choose the winner!

Each event takes place on Saturday afternoon 11.30am-2pm for the next five weeks:

Individual seats are not available, but tables of two, four, and eight can be purchased for RMB 150 per person (or RMB 250 per person if you'd like to add the Free Flow cocktails option: all-you-can-drink Mojitos, Aperol Spritzes, Rose Margaritas, Cuba Libres, and Gin & Tonics for the duration of the event).

VIP ticket holders also get the right to serve as Superdelegates, who will be called into overtime action if any of our contests end in a tie.

Currently, we're not selling tickets to the Final Four, however, if you'd like to "run the gauntlet" and attend all five events – the four preliminaries and the final – you can purchase the ultimate ticket: the VIP Total Taste-Off Pass (only available for tables of four) for RMB 2,400 (or RMB 4,000 for the free-flow option). That's 20% off the regular ticket price, and you will have full-on bragging rights as one of Beijing's few Pizza KOLs who have tried all 16 of the city's best pies.

But our parties aren't just about scarfing down pizza and chugging beer and boom you’re done. Each table will also enter our PIZZALYMPICS, where they will compete for the gold, silver, and bronze medals at our Pizza Pentathalon: five separate pizza/Olympics-themed events that will entertain you between bites.
