这首歌是比伯2011年圣诞新专辑中的第一支单曲《Mistletoe/圣诞幸运枝》。这首单曲在iTunes发行后的短短7个小时内就飙升至单曲下载冠军位，空降6国冠军，刷新iTunes圣诞歌曲最快封王记录。
在北欧神话中，爱神弗丽嘉（Frigga）的儿子光明之神巴尔德（Balder）有一天晚上梦到了自己的死亡。最爱他的母亲为了保护自己的儿子，请求世间万物都做出一个不会伤害他儿子的承诺。只是她忘记了最不起眼的槲寄生。
巴尔德的敌人火与诡计之神洛基（Loki）利用这点，设计让双眼失明的黑暗之神霍德尔（Hoder）（霍德尔与巴尔德是孪生兄弟）掷出槲寄生的枝条，对此不知情的霍德尔照做，无意中导致巴德尔的死亡。世界从此没有光明，陷入黑暗。
但最终，在他母亲和世间万物的努力下，巴尔德活了过来。弗丽嘉十分高兴，她许诺将给所有站在槲寄生下的人一个吻。爱战胜了死亡，这个传说流传了下来。槲寄生的象征：爱，和平，宽恕也同样保存了下来，成为了圣诞节的中心精神。
