Educating Girls of Rural China's (EGRC) was founded in 2005 with the belief that educated women have educated children and that educating women is the fundamental way to lift people our of poverty and build better societies.
EGRC's mission is to provide financial sponsorship and emotional support to young women from rural regions of Western China to receive high school and university educations. EGRC provides further learning and training opportunities for their personal and career developments.
Currently, EGRC is looking for several volunteer English teachers to teach EGRC sponsored university and high school students. The teaching focuses on speaking and listening skills, vocabulary building and cultural exposure.
Once a week online class (90 minutes per class) from September to January, then from March to June
Small classes with four to six students per class
Focusing on listening, speaking, vocabulary building and cultural exposure
Bachelor's Degree in TESOL, education, or other related disciplines
International, multi-cultural background, qualified ESL (Teaching English as a second language) teachers preferred
Willing to work in evenings and weekends to accommodate the availability of the students, and the time zoon differences
