“这次展览名为《我与你》（The Space Between Us），这正是我作品的核心：作为内向者的我与这个世界之间的距离和空间关系。摄影开始于一个动作，始于我走向这个世界，与外界邂逅，接着转换成二维和虚拟的图像。但我热爱的是通过展览，将摄影带回物理空间。”

This exhibition is entitled “The Space Between Us”. That’s fundamentally what I think my work is about, the space between myself and the world, as an introvert. Photography starts as its physical act. It starts with me out in the world encountering things. And then it gets translated into two-dimensional image, and virtual images. But what I love is bringing it back into that physical experience as an exhibition.

At the Shanghai Center of Photography, there is the interesting curved walls and different galleries. And fundamentally though, what I see this as is an opportunity for viewers in China, first time ever, for me to give this physical experience to viewers in Shanghai.
