A hair transplant is a procedure to move hair to an area that's thin or bald. The hair is normally taken from the backside of the head and implanted in the recipient area. It is a procedure that can give people back their younger look and make people happier with their appearance.
There are different types of hair transplants and below we talk about the differences between them.
Traditional Hair Transplant
A traditional hair transplant is also known as "tweezers" hair transplant. In this method, a gemstone knife or needle is used to drill holes in the planting areas. The hair follicles are then clamped with tweezers and implanted subcutaneously. Two pairs of tweezers are needed for the gem knife drilling method. A pair of curved tweezers stretches the skin, and the other straight tweezers plant the hair follicles under the skin. The scalp needs to be drilled or reamed by about 1.0 to 1.5mm. After this, the hair follicles can be implanted, so that the wound is larger.
Barley Microneedle Hair Transplant
Microneedle hair transplant, the planting hole is 1 / 3 smaller than in a traditional hair transplant. Separated hair follicles are placed into the slot of the tip of the microneedle implanter pen and then directly planted under the skin through the automatic spring device inside the microneedle implanter pen.

Benefits of Microneedle Hair Transplant
Microneedle hair transplant is minimally invasive, and this means that there is a quicker recovery afterward. Another great thing about this type of transplant is that the diameter of the hair implanter pen can be selected according to the thickness of each person's hair, meaning it is more personal and more precise. This technique surrounds the protective hair follicle and directly reaches the dermis.
During the process of planting, once the hair follicle reaches the maximum depth, the Microneedle will automatically bounce back without any pressing and squeezing. This greatly reduces the wound surface, and the smallest wound surface is 0.6 mm, compared to 1mm for a traditional transplant. A smaller wound surface means there is less trauma and that it is more accurate.
Microneedle hair transplants require highly skilled doctors undertaking the procedure, who has been working in this industry for at least 5-8 years. Please contact us for a free consultation at any of our 34 branches in China.
