耐克的“锯末运动鞋” | Nike Vegan Sneakers Made of Sawdust

耐克将推出用可持续发展的材料，如升级改造的锯末、再生泡沫和有机棉制成的VeganAir Max 90！这款新运动鞋是鞋类巨头耐克和服装品牌Maharishi为纪念其在纽约旗舰店开业而合作的产物。 

Nike will be launching Vegan Air Max 90s made from sustainable materials such as upcycled sawdust, recycled foam, and organic cotton. The new sneakers are the result of collaboration between footwear giant Nike and clothing brand Maharishi to commemorate the opening of its flagship store in New York City.

Maharishi X Nike Air Max 90鞋面采用有机棉制成，采用Maharishi的标志性颜色“Maha Olive”，使用石榴和姜黄的天然染料。外底由耐克磨砂制成，磨砂是由回收的鞋子和废料再造的材料。鞋子上的耐克标志和其他细节都是用托盘末制成的，看起来像木纹。

The Maharishi x Nike Air Max 90 upper is made of organic cotton in Maharishi’s signature color “Maha Olive”, which uses natural dyes from pomegranate and turmeric. The outsoles are made with Nike Grind, which is a material created from recycled footwear and manufacturing scraps. Nike’s logo and other details on the shoes are created with sawdust from shipping pallets for a wood grain look.

Maharishi is a clothing brand committed to making “environmentally sound, fair-trade produced, long-lasting, high-quality, utilitarian clothing.” Its aesthetic combines utility clothes and Japanese style. Maharishi is largely credited with bringing functional military style to high fashion (cargo pants, camo patterns, etc).

可持续运动鞋零售价为150美元，将于8月30日在Maharishi网站（https://www.maharishistore.com/）出售。这周你可以通过参加网上抽奖活动来购买这双运动鞋，但是要乘坐飞机到Tribeca或伦敦Maharishi的旗舰店去取。（不过听起来这种方式不够可持续）。

The sustainable sneaker retails for $150, and will be available via the Maharishi website on August 30 (https://www.maharishistore.com/). This week you can purchase the sneaker by entering an online raffle, which requires a plane ride to Tribeca or London to pick it up at Maharishi’s flagship store (not exactly a very sustainable way to go about getting the shoes).
