英首相要vegan奶酪 Boris wants Vegan Cheese

英国首相约翰逊14日接受BBC采访时表示，他希望在2020年减肥，但不会成为vegan，因为这意味着放弃奶酪。

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson told the BBC Tuesday that he wants to lose weight by 2020 but may not become vegan because it means giving up cheese.

约翰逊说，虽然他“向那些能做到这一点的素食主义者脱帽致敬，他们设法避免所有非素食产品”，但他认为，避免食用肉禽类产品是“对奶酪爱好者的犯罪”。

Johnson said that while he "takes my hat off to vegans who can do this and try to avoid all non-vegan products," he called avoiding meat and poultry "a crime against cheese lovers."

"I take my hat of the vegans, you can handle it, you manage to avoid all no-vegan products."

据悉，约翰逊的女友凯莉·西蒙兹是一位著名的环保主义者，《每日邮报》此前报道称，西蒙兹曾说服约翰逊尝试vegan生活方式。

Johnson's girlfriend Carrie Symonds is known as a leading environmentalist, and the Daily Mail previously reported that Symonds convinced Johnson to try a vegan lifestyle.

Even though one is not vegan, as long as they are aware of the damage done to the earth by animal husbandry, and at the same time aware of the harm done to the body by too much red meat, then choose to eat more vegetables and reduce meat consumption, that will do good to earth too!
